Drag queen, Alex produces her shows by inventing her own female character in a very professional and artistic way.
First of all, she starts by dressing and making up for long hours (5/6 hours) to get as close as possible to her character.
Then comes the time of the artistic performance. During events such as cabarets, nightclubs, fashion shows, she represents herself overplaying gender codes, parodying archetypes and including dances and songs in front of an overexcited public.
I had the chance to photograph her during these two magnificent moments: backstage during her preparations, and then during her show at the café de Paris on rue oberkampf in November 2021.
